Bottle Project #1 Moody Tongue Steeped Emperor's Lemon Saison
Today begins a new project for me: Bottles.
I've always found bottles interesting. They are and interesting mix of design and pure function which together make a very interesting piece to photograph.
Each is individual bottle is different and as such has to be photographed differently. On the whole no two bottles are going to look or act quite the same as another one. It is a strange combination of the thickness and tint of the glass and the varying degrees of color of the actual beverage that makes this subject matter very fun to work with.
This project is something I've been talking about doing for a few months now. I've been working as a product photographer for over a year now but haven't really transitioned to generating my own work outside the studio. Until Now.
This post kicks off a fun series for me. The goal is simple: Get out of my comfort zone. I'm going to be producing a variety of different style's of shots in the coming weeks so if you have a favorite or suggestion drop them in the comments below!
Cheers!
